MS, LMHC, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Multicultural Specialist
She/her/hers

I am a licensed mental health counselor and multicultural specialist providing clinical services and outreach to traditionally marginalized populations at Washington State University (Pullman campus). In addition, I provide outreach and serve as a liaison to Multicultural Student Services and Veteran & Military Affiliated Student Services.

As an African American woman in this profession, my goal is to de-stigmatize the utilization of mental health resources. I accomplish this by creating a collaborative approach to working with departments across the university to educate and inform marginalized communities about the benefits of emotional healing. I believe that healing takes many forms and one of those strong connections, is between our spirituality and mental health healing. Joining ones source of higher power with the emotional healing can be powerful. My job here is to be an advocate for those who  feel powerless and voiceless!

I earned my Masters of Science in Counselor Education from Eastern Washington University (Go Eags!). My aspirations were focused on becoming a Middle School Counselor, however, fate presented an opportunity to work for the Mack Strong TEAM-WORKS Foundation, where I served as Executive Director. My role allowed me to work with middle school/high school students from Seattle, Pullman, and the Nez Perce Reservation. That was my passion for three years until the opportunity to spread my wings in the area of mental health therapy. I was able to hone my craft in the rural community of Clarkston, Washington, where I served low-income families and children working with the Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) program. That passion for underserved populations eventually led me to my alma mater, Washington State University, to serve as their first Mental Health Therapist/Multicultural Specialist.

I am a wife, mom, Army veteran, and woman who loves God. My passion is creating safe and welcoming spaces for those I love and with whom I will get to know. My greatest joy is laughing, sharing, and creating a family here on the Palouse. I am also civically minded and share my passions and knowledge through my loving sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and my church (Love People, Love God!).
